Our lighter 2023 Jasper Ridge Single Vineyard Syrah was independently reviewed by Wine Orbit and achieved Gold 93/100: “Sweetly ripe with elegant complexity, the wine exhibits aromas of Black Doris plum, cherry, thyme, clove, and roasted nuts on the nose. The palate displays succulent fruit flavours with savoury nuances, well supported by silky texture and layers of fine-grained tannins, finishing persistent and refined. At its best: now to 2031.”
Recommended by The Real Review Bob Campbell (Master of Wine): 3* Bronze 89/100 points
“Light, refreshing, fruit-focused syrah with dark berry/cherry, raspberry and fresh herb flavours supported by refreshing acidity with a slight stab of bitterness on the finish.”
“Top Ranking wine, #12 Syrah in New Zealand (The Real Review, April 2025)”.
“Bronze level wines are good to very good, serviceable, fault-free wines for everyday drinking. Some of these will also be cellarable. The best of them are almost silver-medal quality. Even an 85-point wine can be very good value depending on its price.”
